Novus’ lead experts have successfully completed hundreds of projects related to air quality, sound & vibration, snow drifting, meteorology, and human health risk assessment for roadways, railways, transit, bridges, tunnels, and airports. Our portfolio includes a number of high profile, complex and/or controversial site/route selection studies, individual and class Environmental Assessments, and Detail Design assignments. In addition to our vast Environmental Assessment experience, our lead experts have also assisted in the development of numerical models, guidelines, and protocols for municipal, provincial, and federal government agencies. Having experts actively involved in the science and policy enables us to remain an innovator and leader in this sector.
Novus’ expertise in this sector was recognized by the federal government of Canada, when they awarded Novus a grant to work with the University of Guelph to create a pollution control device to mitigate air quality impacts from transportation sources. With a goal of improving human health and reducing regional air pollution, Novus will apply their technical knowledge to develop an innovative solution to this complex problem.
