Bill brings over 33 years of experience specializing in microclimate consulting, modelling and assessment. He has extensive experience and involvement with microclimate design issues across a variety of sectors including Education, Health Care, Science and Technology, Transportation and high and low-rise Commercial/Residential design. He has provided expert guidance on wind and snow effects during concept design, master planning and detailed design phases of projects. His design guidance has considered pedestrian wind comfort, solar reflectance/shadows, snow impacts (drifting, loading, infiltration) and natural ventilation. His experience of directing multi-discipline teams has also provided him with an insight of potential exhaust dispersion and noise issues, which he considers when devising microclimate mitigation. Bill’s project involvement has also included client representation at public meetings, municipal government planning meetings and appearance before the Ontario Municipal Board. Bill has directed and worked on 100’s of projects and his experience is extensive on projects throughout North America and includes buildings and facilities on all continents, including Antarctica.
