Dr. Qiu has over 20 years of experience in air quality, meteorological and climatological modelling. He has led over 100 of projects focusing on emission inventories, regional smog and photochemical modelling, health impact analysis, climate change downscaling, and meteorological modelling for extreme weather conditions. He earned a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science at York University in 2002, and is certified as Accredited Consulting Meteorologist (ACM) by the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society (CMOS). His expertise is recognized throughout the meteorological and air quality modelling communities and academic/education sectors. He is a graduate student supervisor at Royal Road University (British Columbia) and is an invited member of the expert panel for reviewing climate and air quality studies by the US EPA (STAR Program) and Environment Canada.
