Summary

Novus was retained by CS&P Architects to provide acoustical design guidance for a new 3-storey wing at Toronto’s Crescent School.  The addition will feature a new a university-style Library, a Student Commons, which will house two critical services: University Counselling and Crescent Student Services, drama rooms and an amphitheatre space.

Novus’ involvement included consultation from design through construction focused on:

  •  Room Acoustics for speech intelligibility and occupant comfort;
  • Control of noise and vibration from building services;
  • Partition design for speech privacy; and,
  • Sound Isolation of noisy spaces;
