Climate Change in Northern Regions

In Arctic regions, such as Northern Canada, where harsh climatic circumstances demand practicality and local solutions, having the correct local climate information is key to providing a solid foundation for project decisions. As climate change becomes more perceptible, design strategies employed in the past may no longer be applicable or could lead to poor building performance. Good design practices are applied by architects, engineers and project managers, and are expected by owners and developers, but how does one make better informed design decisions about future climate influences?
