Vibration Sensitive Equipment

Spaces with vibration-sensitive equipment such as hospitals, research labs, and production facilities for microelectronics are adversely affected by vibrations many times below human perception thresholds. Proper vibration isolation of building systems is vital in these situations. In addition, vibration of the structure (especially floors) due to footfalls, and vibration from external environmental sources (road and rail traffic, neighboring industry) must be also be addressed.

At the other end of the vibration spectrum, mission critical (data centres) and high value assets (e.g., museums) must be adequately protected from vibration damage from environmental sources as well as high level sources such as construction. Novus personnel have the tools and experience to predict potential impacts, conduct field monitoring, and to design cost-effective design/mitigation solutions.
