Energy, Oil and Gas
Our modern industrial society depends on energy. Our future supply will depend on “traditional” thermal production using carbon fuels such as natural gas, coal, oil, and biofuels, but will also require an increasing use of alternative fuels such as nuclear, hydroelectric, and renewables, such as solar, wind and geothermal.
Novus provides design consultation, looking at projects on an individual, site specific basis which may include a variety of generation options. Our practitioners understand energy distribution from production sources as well as linear facilities for the transmission of liquid, gas and electric energy. Novus experience includes addressing environmental issues in the oil and gas industry, from upstream production through to refining and distribution. We also assist in evaluating compatibility issues associated with energy solutions such as district energy, community energy and siting of wind turbines. Novus is an active member of the Ontario Energy Association.
